A light that flickers once as you switch it on is usually more annoying than alarming. But if you are asking, is flickering lighting dangerous, the honest answer is: sometimes. A failing bulb or loose lamp connection can be a simple fix. Repeated flickering, lights dimming across the property, buzzing fittings or a burning smell can point to an electrical fault that needs prompt attention.
